The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) - UK organized a half-day seminar to elucidate the Founder's Vision for UPF, Rev Dr Sun Myung Moon and Dr Hak Ja Han. There were several international tours to develop the foundation for UPF in the first few years after its inauguration in 2005. This event aimed to revitalize this foundation by fostering a global human consciousness to contribute to the ongoing pursuit of peace.
Rev Dr David Hanna while delivering an enlightening presentation on 'Universal Values as a Foundation for Peace' said, “Heart is the impulse to experience joy through giving and receiving love." He emphasized the significance of the heart as the driving force behind experiencing joy through the exchange of love. Dr Hanna addressed fundamental aspects of human existence, surprising the audience with his thought-provoking insights on a Saturday morning.
Through thought-provoking presentations titled, 'Love Lies at the Root of Conflict' and 'Healing and Reconciliation: Toward the Ideal,' Dr Hanna skillfully explored the profound universal values that underpin the Universal Peace Federation. By delving into these core principles, he shed light on the intrinsic connection between love, conflict, and the path to healing and reconciliation.
UPF Ambassador for Peace Appointments:
As part of the program, the UPF Ambassador for Peace appointments were bestowed upon individuals who have made exceptional contributions to peacebuilding. The recipients of these prestigious awards were Dr Imambay Kamara, Keya Prasad, Christopher George, Aremuorin - Anthony Everest, and Nic Careem. Their dedication and efforts in promoting peace were recognized and celebrated during the seminar.
The half-day seminar on the Universal Peace Federation Founders' Vision provided an opportunity to rekindle and expand the foundation of UPF, fostering a global consciousness in the quest for peace. Dr David Hanna's insightful presentations on universal values offered attendees a deeper understanding of UPF's principles.
