Launching the 2025 Eliminate Violence Against Women (EVAW)Campaign at Lancaster Gate
The annual programme of Women Supporting Women, raising awareness, strengthening solidarity, and taking action to Eliminate Violence Against Women, was convened on 26 November at 43 Lancaster Gate, London, W2 3NA.
Male Allyship and the Launch of MAGE - Male Allies of Gender Equality
Jeremy Blain, who recently launched MAGE – Male Allies of Gender Equality at UPF UK HQ on 19 November, introduced the campaign and its four priority areas:
- Government
- Communities and Families (including education)

- Business
- Influencers, Creators, and Notable Figures committed to driving change
National 16 Days of Activism: Daily Events Across the UK
Justina Mulate, leading the UK effort through the National Association of Women’s Organisations, highlighted that an event is being held every evening during the 16 Days of Activism.
UPF UK HQ will host another programme on 9 December.
Digital Safety: This Year’s EVAW Theme
Julian Fox presented the global theme, “End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls.”
He shared a newly produced digital safety leaflet with simple, practical online protection tips.
Strengthening Women Supporting Women in 2026
Lorna Marah and Eva Chan spoke about their ongoing work with the Women Supporting Women initiative and outlined new plans for 2026.
Understanding Digital Violence and Online Harms
Kostas Kapelas contributed a second male perspective to the event.
Ms. Itty Bawa addressed this year’s UN theme, explaining the types of digital violence, the benefits and risks of online life, and the importance of taking screenshots as evidence when abuse occurs. ((Video here)

Robin Marsh shared a new report,
'Universal Peace Federation – UK Report: 12 Years of Action to End Violence Against Women and Girls'
which documents UPF UK's long-standing commitment to EVAW.
Upcoming Event: UN Women Film “Unsilenced” – December 9
As part of the 16 Days of Activism, UPF UK HQ will host a film screening of the UN Women film Unsilenced on 9 December at 6 pm. (See Leaflet)
